Colorado Fourteeners

 

    There are 55 (or 54) peaks higher than 14,000 feet in Colorado. These peaks are known affectionately as 14'ers, in honor of their lofty height. When I moved to Colorado in 2000, I decided to try to attain the daunting goal of hiking each one of them. While none of the 14'ers require death-defying feats of mountaineering, climbing all of them is guaranteed to turn you into a seasoned mountaineer. To help encourage me on my way to my goal and share the fun with friends, I've compiled several progress tables and trip reports for my various climbs. Even if you are not a climber, I hope that you will gain a taste of Colorado's 14'ers through my experiences and pictures.
