California High Speed RailMaglev technology was being considered along with conventional high speed rail for a large $25 billion network. It looks as if conventional high speed rail technology will be used in this project. The project is currently completing an EIS which should be finished June 30, 2003. The technology mode will be selected after the EIS is complete.
